Dominic devoted nearly three decades of his life to Hartley, beginning his teaching career in 1997 and faithfully serving for 29 years. Throughout those years, he wore many hats—beloved teacher, campus minister, House dean, and mentor teacher—but in every role, his purpose remained the same: to serve others with compassion, humility, and love. He was more than an educator; he was a guide, a listener, and a steady presence for countless students and colleagues who turned to him for wisdom and encouragement.
Known for his passion for history and his joyful, welcoming spirit, Dominic had a rare gift for bringing learning to life. His classrooms were places where curiosity was nurtured, questions were welcomed, and students felt safe to grow—not only academically, but personally and spiritually. He believed deeply in the potential of every student and worked tirelessly to help them discover their strengths, their values, and their sense of purpose.
